A silhouette of Hannah, I created today... my Mother-in-law's dog.  We rescued this sweet puppy from a Shelter 2 years ago.  When I found her, she had no hair.  They had to shave it all off as it was badly matted.  She is healthy and happy now thanks to my super Mom-in law.

Think I'll see about doing Silhouettes for the local Vet - I referred to her as Doctor once, she smiled and added she prefers to be called Aunt Karen.
I had been doing candy bar labels as a Fund raiser for the Animal Shelter.  The silhouettes will probably work out better.

Send me a photo of your cat so I can do a silhouette of one...

My new Business Card design, a tri-fold, seems more appropriate for my Pop-Ups and Mechanical paper art work::

The Town scene on the front panel represents the street of shops in Palmyra, NY.  I am still working to incorporate the 4 churches that all face each other at one intersection.

Palmyra is such a unique Town.  Waiting for nicer weather so I can capture more of the sky line for both sides of Main Street.

I assumed someone else had already done a sky line of Palmyra but I do not find any after a full week of research.

What is your favorite Town or City?

Yippie, I just got into Etsy's Treasury:

http://www.etsy.com/treasury_list.php?r oom_id=29185 ; ,expires in a couple of days I think.

That is where Artist's list their favorite things and so, I listed some of my favorite creations.  Oh what fun.
I also offered 1 free item from my shop, and I will pay the shipping to anyone who has 2 of my favorite people contact me:
Lucille Simpkins - who helped raise me.
Judith Becker- Was my Brother Eric's Fiance.  My brother died at age 17 and I lost contact with Judy- and miss her terribly.

Who do you miss?

What a clever idea a local Antique dealer has- Painting Antiques that are so worn and, otherwise, people would not buy.
So, he had me paint more shovels:
.

What are you sketching or working on now?

A very interesting request from a client, this hiker designed with an orange baseball cap.  I am sure it has some significance.  The largest amount of the conversatioin was the position of the baseball cap- who would guess there are so many choices.  They picked the normal position- and I had to ask to be sure I designed what they wanted.

I like to put my sculpture designs under a glass dome.  I do not like the glass bottle as a home for my sculptures.

It appears there are others that make Business card sculptures, also, but are not in the U.S.A.  So, I am finding my market- people that want to order and be shipped in less than 3-4 weeks.

Off to send Christmas cards.
Have you sent your yet, or are you still sketching?

I wish now I had put gold leaf accents on the Trains before I framed them today.

My craft knife got too crafty and II had to re-do the full train.  Live and Learn.

Have a good day,

Thank goodness for creating- otherwise, I would be eating as it is lunch time.

New creations:

These paper Pop-Up Sliceform Cards fold flat to mail.

And how could I resist creating another Business Card Sculpture.
The waves created a problem as I did not like the way a flat wave looked.  These curl-e-q waves are sort of distracting but they look much better than flat waves.  If I left the waves off, the Sailboat looked weird.

Do you think I could have used some other effect for the waves, and if so, what?

I am more in the Yo ho ho spirit than the Ho Ho Ho spirit.

From my Studio I am trying to get in the Christmas spirit:

Then comes a request from an Antique dealer to paint a Santa with some Holly on an old wood ironing board, so this is my first work up:

Which Santa do you like better for the Ironing board?
I want to do Santa's hat in a Paisley, so we'll see.

Painted an Antique coal shovel for a client:

Still not in the Christmas spirit- need to sketch some more.

What are you doing to get in the Christmas spirit?
