Halloween Pop-Up Card

Rough design layout for the Pop-Up card. Need to finish the pop-up tonight. The pumpkin will Pop-Up as the card is opened and the ghost will pop-up out of the head also.

Which one do you like better?

Best memories of Halloween were when my Mother made me a clown outfit and going around with my friends collecting money for Unicef.

Imagine a Pop-Up Book in Braille of Pop-Ups to make

The race is off. I've begun my journey to create a Book of Pop-Ups for children to make.
Limited edition in Braille and English.

Page 1 is the Legend directions, posted earlier in my journal.
Here is page 2 and 3 of the Book for a child to make their own Pop-Up paper Butterfly greeting card.

The word for the day is "Create", as in create a note for a child to read. Incorporate a new word for their vocabulary.

Paper Bird with Braille
What is the Braille message on the Bird?
Made with the Newspaper from today, wire feet.

Cannot throw out the entire Newspaper. As I have never sewn newspaper before, it was interesting.

Lots of labels I read say, "Do not microwave.", so that applies here also as the feet are wire, the eyes are glass beads. I stuffed this bird with newspaper also, next time I will use cotton balls for a softer look.

Pop-Up Card for the Blind to make- Legend

Working on creating a Pop-Up card, with instructions in English and Braille. I cannot think of any reason why only sighted folks can make a Pop-Up card.

We will see how well this is received by the class of visually impaired children. If every child, in the class, is successful in making a Pop-Up card, I will do more.

I am still working on the illustrations for 2 possible subjects and needed to set the legend first..
